Australian Ski Club

The Australian Ski Club at Guthega Ski Resort in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales was designed by Peter Aynsley in 1974/5 and constructed over the summers of 1975/76 and 1976/77. Peter managed the construction process over this period and a significant amount of work was undertaken by club members who devoted their weekends throughout two summers to the endeavour. The five-level load-bearing brick, concrete block and reinforced concrete structure built in this manner was an ambitious project in any location, let alone in remote Guthega.
