Michael
was on the Executive Committee of Tourism South West, after serving
two years as a board member of the Pemberton Tourist Bureau, as
well as being on the task force for ACCOR.
This
experience has resulted in an excellent understanding of the
operational demands of any tourism and hospitality project as well
as a keen awareness of the interrelationship between development
cost and operational effectiveness.

Michael’s
strong involvement in all aspects of Sales & Marketing, Human
Resources, Financial Control, Events co-ordination, Site Management
(construction), Contractual negotiations, Environmental Practices
and Risk Management & Training have further enhanced his
consulting expertise.
Through
sitting on several state and regional boards of tourism related
associations and marketing bodies around Australia, Michael is also
well versed with the nuances of state politics and in dealings with
relevant government ministries and agencies. Successful grant
applications, several state and one national Tourism Award further
attest to this knowledge.
