Neil Macdonald

Neil Macdonald is a management professional who has more than 25 years’ business experience – the last twenty of which has been at senior management and/or Director level. He is a Director of both Prime Property Corporation Pty Ltd and Christiana Capital Pty Ltd.

Neil’s early training came from being placed in a fast-track program in the banking industry. During the period 1973-1982 he held various positions based on developing a grounding in lending and management. This culminated in his appointment as Corporate Finance Manager (NSW) for the National Australia Bank in 1984. During this period Neil obtained his Bachelor of Business degree.

Over the period 1985 to 1987 Neil completed his MBA at Macquarie University and worked as a management consultant to a number of companies, specialising in restructuring. He also undertook work for financial services organizations in the area of venture/equity capital raisings and syndicated debt finance. This led to the formation of Project Equity Finance Limited in 1988 with Neil as Managing Director.

Neil has continued to specialise in financial packaging for small and medium sized businesses and in addition has taken equity positions in a number of businesses over the past fifteen years, in most cases fulfilling the role of Director or CEO or Managing Director. These activities included Neil’s role as founding Director and CEO of First Netcom Pty Ltd – one of the first Telecommunications Service Providers in the newly-deregulated industry of the 1990s.

Neil continues as Managing Director of FNH Group Pty Ltd, which has now evolved into a litigation funding business (www.firstnet.com.au) and manages the day-to-day operations of  Protect Yourself. Neil is also CFO and a substantial shareholder in the Mobiles2go Group (www.mlbs2go.com).

Neil provides his management expertise for projects undertaken by Christiana Capital. This work is provided on a part-time basis in addition to Neil’s role as a Director of the company. Neil will typically become involved on a project-specific basis, in addition to his corporate governance responsibilities.
