Project Management experience

Due diligence and construction advisory services for projects ranging from $1 million to more than
$2 billion (construction cost). Hands-on Project Management and/or Development Management for
a range of project types in the $1 million to $50 million construction cost range, including:

	Project Management & Development Management of 8,500m2+ office/retail building – including initial site appraisal, negotiation of head lease with government department, arranging project funding, design management, project management and assistance to developer in end-sale. 	Project Management and Construction Management of 450Ha resort development including: -  environmental appraisals -  authority approvals -  infrastructure planning -  construction of buildings, roads and services infrastructure. Facilities included: Guthega Ski Centre; Mountain Kiosks; Water Supply and Sewerage infrastructure; Electricity infrastructure; Staff Accommodation; Hotel and restaurant; Chairlift, T-bars etc; Slope grooming, including three f.i.s. accredited runs; and Roadworks, carparking. 	Project Management and advisory services for developer of this 450m2 “beach house” on a beachfront sand dune at Seal Rocks. Construction cost $1+ million, completed in November 2007. Click here for construction photos of this project.
	Project Management of $9 million refurbishment of existing warehouse building to create commercial office and retail premises, together with arrangements for project financing. Click here for more details.
	Design, documentation and construction management of the Australian Ski Club at Guthega in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales. The Club was one of the largest and best-equipped privately-owned ski clubs in Australia at the time and comprised a load-bearing brick and concrete block structure with reinforced concrete floors and steel/timber framed metal roof. 	Assembled and managed design team for tender bid to Sydney Cove Authority for 55,700 m2 commercial office project, successfully reaching shortlist. Carried out all feasibility analyses and negotiated Head Contractor and Principal Financier participation. Click here for more details Project Management assistance to major media network in relocation of its existing Head Office and production facilities – including appraisal of staffing and management structures, calculation of space needs and spatial relationships, re-use of equipment/facilities in new premises and tender process for provision of accommodation.
	Detailed planning and feasibility advice in relation to a number of existing and proposed hospital properties in NSW, Victoria and New Zealand. Development Management role for refurbishment of existing Woolworths site at Castle Hill to create the Castle Hill Medical Centre
	Project Management and Development Management for a new shopping centre and commercial offices at Gladesville NSW, successfully obtaining Development Approval. Project comprised: Supermarket 1,500 m2 Fruit & Vegetable emporium 1,093 m2 Mini-major 750 m2 Specialty Shops 3,200 m2 Strata Offices 3,246 m2 Carparking 450 spaces                    Click here for more details
	Advisory services for the restructure of German building and infrastructure company’s construction and fibre-optic cable-laying operations in Germany and Hungary.
	Miami Apartments: Development advisory for this $17.5 million luxury 15-unit apartment complex on Sydney’s northern beaches. Project funding in process following successful Development Approval, planned completion in 2009.
	Projects in the USA apart from due diligence work for the World Bank's International Finance Corporation included residential design, documentation and construction coordination in Los Angeles; design and installation of interior components of an Indoor Golf Training Centre at Sacramento (touted by the owners as the largest indoor golf training centre in the USA at the time); concept design of various indoor golf facilities in the greater LA area; due diligence on a medical centre; and alterations to an industrial building.
	Development advisory services for proposed tourism resort located within walking distance of the Boomerang Bay beaches in the Great Lakes area of NSW. Accommodation comprised cabin-style accommodation with conference facilities for 100 people plus ancillary services including restaurant, retail, gym, sauna, spa,, squash courts, tennis courts and two swimming pools. Total 101 two- and three-bedroom cabins
	Development advisory services for this low and medium-density cluster housing project on 41 hectares with central community facilities and 9-hole golf course designed by David Graham. Located near Nambucca Heads, the project comprised a total of 43 luxury detached houses, 200 houses in small clusters and 80-unit motel.
	Development advisory services for this luxury resort development located in the mountains overlooking Cairns. The Montecito project comprised a 190-room deluxe boutique hotel with 170 separate detached dwellings that have access to the hotel’s facilities. Facilities include restaurants, swimming pools, jogging trail, conference/function rooms and health centre with gym, massage rooms, spas and saunas. Developer was ultimately unable to resolve access issues with Council.
	Development advisory services for Ballina Tea Gardens Estate - comprising a tea plantation; antiques museum featuring vintage cars and horse-drawn vehicles; a tea tree oil production facility; central administration and hotel with support facilities; conference and presentation facilities; and a residential subdivision. 	Development Management and Project Management, successfully securing re-zoning approval (new LEP) for restoration of the Independent Theatre - with integrated redevelopment of the adjacent squash court site to provide a 102-room 5-star hotel and headquarters of the Billy Blue School of Hotel Management.
